Not sure if it would cover electric if your electric rate is high, but you're going to run into that no matter WHAT you try to mine on it. Print Author Topic: Genoil's ZEC miner: AMD ZCash miner for Windows - 0.6 (Read 56687 times) 'Bitcoin: the cutting edge of begging technology.' - Giraffe.BTC Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. It might be viable "mining" GridCoin via the MooWrapper project on BOINC, that card SHOULD work fairly well on RC5-72 work as it's halfway between the 78 on core count and very similar clock rates, and the RC5-72 client used by the MooWrapper project gets along VERY well with terrascale AMD GPUs (my A10-5700 iGPUs pull well over 400 Mkeys/sec with 384 cores at 750ish Mhz, which is in line with my HD 7750 GPUs and A10-7890K iGPUs pulling 600ish MKeys/sec on 512 cores at 800 Mhz). Monero - might work but not going to work well on that old and inefficient of a GPU. I'm not sure how well any of the current ZCash miners work with pre-GCN cards if at all - Claymore 9.7 in some testing I did at one point was able to work with one of my A10-5700 iGPU (VERY slow but more due the very slow ram than anything else I think, my A10-7890k wasn't a lot better) so that version SHOULD work with a 6870 since they're both Terrascale of the SAME generation. Mining with Nicehash yields payouts in BTC, but pay attention to fees and minimum payout thresholds.

That's what I'm mining with my 7700 & 7800 series cards. (Since the motherboard/cpu/ram/hdd added to one low-end card might not be worth it with my rates for electricity.) The lowest-end card I mine with is an MSI 7770 ghz edition, and if that were the only card I owned, I would definitely reconsider mining.

It has Intel Core i7 CPU with 4 physical cores running 2.8 GHz and also 16 GB of RAM. I tried to mine Sia coin but now I'm curious if you know of any other coins that I can try mining with it?

I have this desktop PC with an older AMD Radeon HD 6770 graphics card with 1GB of video memory that I would like to use to mine some crypto coins.
